Naturopathic doctors (ND's) are trained to treat the individual person by identifying and treating the root cause of an illness, not just the symptoms. NDs are educated in the same basic sciences as MDs, and utilize non-invasive, nontoxic approaches ranging from acupuncture and homeopathic medicine to nutrition and environmental medicine when treating patients.
