Denver Public Schools: Denver Teach Today

About Us

The Denver Teach Today program (DTT) is an initiative of Denver Public Schools (DPS) to recruit, train and support outstanding candidates to become teachers primarily in the subjects of math, special education, and bilingual education. DTT is a rigorous alternate route to licensure, based upon an intensive five-week teacher-training program.

DPS is the fastest growing urban school district in the nation, hiring roughly 500 teachers annually-we understand that teachers make the difference. We are on the leading edge of educational reform across the country with efforts such as teacher effectiveness framework, implementation of Common Core State Standards, and teacher leadership development.

We offer divergent career paths and life experiences, allowing people to come to education at different points in their lives, thus enhancing the educational experience for students incorporating their own life learning. DTT will prepare you to be a different kind of teacher, truly making a positive impact for Denver's kids.
