The South Boston Neighborhood House continues to reflect the spirit of the Settlement House Movement, carrying out its mission "to support family and neighborhood life in South Boston" through seven major programs operating at four sites. that focus on developing the individual and collective strengths of the South Boston community. All Neighborhood House programs: Senior Center, Adolescent Services, Early Education and Care, a Boston Community Learning Center for school age youth, Early Books--our family reading program, and Community Outreach, are focused on education. Beginning with the infants and toddlers in our Early Books activities, up to the seniors in our "Jet Setters" group, our mandate is to promote the healthy development of families and the community in which they live.
