About HousingWorks RI (HWRI)
HousingWorks RI is a broad-based coalition of over 120 members that: • promotes the availability of stable, well-built affordable homes as a means of enhancing Rhode Island’s quality of life and economy; • advances HousingWorks RI policy through communication, education and advocacy; and • convenes individuals and organizations to build consensus and solve the most pressing statewide housing issues of the day. Our members include banks, builders, chambers of commerce, colleges, community-based agencies and advocates, faith groups, manufacturers, preservationists, realtors, municipal officials, and labor unions. HWRI envisions a Rhode Island in which communities embrace a variety of housing choices so that our residents, regardless of income, can live in quality affordable homes in vibrant and thriving neighborhoods.
