About Us

NNF is a non-profit 501c (3), multi-issue grassroots community organization. NNF’s mission is to improve the quality of life of the residents on Chicago’s Northwest Side. We do this by building powerful organizations that involve large number of neighbors to identify problems, educate each other on the possibilities and resolve the most critical issues defined by the community. We believe that by coming together to address issues of common concern, residents and local leadership will become empowered and thereby assume a greater role in the civic life of the neighborhood. For the past 25 years, NNF has developed local leadership and locally controlled organizations that win community change on a variety of issues, including: education, neighborhood safety, housing, senior citizen issues, youth issues, and immigrant rights. NNF works in partnership with city agencies, churches, neighborhood institutions and other non-profits.
