US Servas

Embracing more than 100 countries, Servas provides a network for its members to make contact, to build friendships and to broaden our understanding of the world. By connecting as hosts, travellers, or supporters, online or in person, we promote peace and tolerance, while encouraging environmentally sustainable meetings and lifestyles with less ecological impact.

Established in 1949, Servas believes in the transformative power of authentic travel by developing human connection across the world through hospitality exchange, where travelers stay with hosts for two nights and sometimes share meals. There are opportunities for longer stays for 18 - 30 year old members. Servas has consultative status as a non-governmental organization with the United Nations' Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), one of the six main bodies of the UN.
