Florida Oceanographic Society

  • Mission

Inspiring environmental stewardship of Florida's coastal ecosystems through education, research and advocacy.

    About Us

Florida Oceanographic is a non-profit environmental education center open to the public 7 days a week. We are located on the south end of Hutchinson Island across from Stuart Beach and the Elliott Museum. We offer numerous public programs and educational opportunities for groups. The site includes regional aquarium exhibits and displays, a rays on the reef tank, a 750,000 gallon game fish lagoon, children's activity pavilion, touch tanks with marine invertebrates, butterfly garden and nature trails. Volunteers work with visitors from around the world sharing the wonders of our fragile coastal environments.
