The Coalition offers many programs and services to support survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. We are Ventura County's only rape crisis center. Our Advocates are available 24/7 to provide intervention, emergency response, advocacy, and accompaniment to survivors of sexual assault, both in-person and through our hotline.
The Coalition also has two 30-day emergency shelters that house families escaping domestic violence. This program not only provides shelter to survivors, but food, clothing, and access to transitional housing, counseling, support groups, parenting classes, legal assistance, and more.
In addition to these emergency response programs, the Coalition offers individual counseling to survivors and perpetrators of sexual assault and domestic violence, as well as free support groups.
Providing education and awareness to the community is also an essential piece of the Coalition's mission. Staff members periodically provide educational trainings in the community, as well as to outside organizations and schools. We also hold bi-annual crisis counselor trainings for community members who are interested in supporting our programs through volunteering. Training sessions provide a wide selection of continuing education units for healthcare and social service providers.
