The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
The YWCA of Greater is a recognized nonprofit organization founded in 1892, and is a member of both the National YWCA and the World YWCA, the oldest and largest multicultural organization in the world.
We share a common vision for peace, justice, freedom and dignity for everyone, and serve over 15,000 women, children and families in our community each year through more than 21 programs, services, workshops, classes and outreach events.
Each day, we strive to achieve: •Economic independence for women •Ethnic and gender equity •Respect for diverse cultures •A place where children and youth thrive •A community that is vibrant and thriving .
