About Us
The mission of El Centro de Libertad is to help people of all cultures in San Mateo County suffering from substance abuse and related issues to realize their full potential in order to achieve and maintain health, strength, and recovery, resulting in improving the quality of life for all members of our community. El Centro de Libertad serves adults and adolescents residing in urban or rural communities.
Since inception in 1994, thousands of youth, adults and community members have participated in our school-based Prevention Education classes or our large group Community Outreach Presentations or have received help from our highly effective Outpatient Treatment program.
