About Us

The Society for Assisted Cooperative Recovery from Eating Disorders (SACRED) is a non-profit, charitable organization located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. SACRED's mission is to offer hope and healing to those affected by eating disorders through a program based on the 12-Step addictions model of recovery and our vision is that individuals with eating disorders achieve and maintain a state of continued recovery.

SACRED offers Day Treatment, Drop In, Meal and Phone Support in Edmonton that operates twelve hours a day, seven days a week. The program is suitable for people who are in need of intensive support to recover from their disease, but who do not require hospitalization. Medical assessment and medical supervision, the consulting services of a dietitian, the support of Program Counsellors with personal recovery experience and healthy meals prepared by a cook are provided. The Program is located in a serene, peaceful environment conducive to healing.
