    The founding and primary purpose of the BCPS was the rehabilitation of injured Cockatoos, the propagation of their numbers, and the preservation of their natural environment. At present, the Carnaby’s and Baudin’s Black Cockatoos are listed as ‘Endangered’, whereas the Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos are listed as Near-Threatened under the Western Australia Wildlife Conservation Act.
