About Us

The Martini Run was started June of 2001 to keep steadfast, the memory of Tom Martini who lost his battle with cancer on April 13, 2000 at the young age of 57. The list of volunteers has grown from 1 - 4 dozen over the years and our total contribution to the foundation has topped over $41,000!!!

The starting location is T. Martini & Son Floor Covering, a business started by Tom Martini in 1985. The ending location is the VFW, 30 Central St. Abington, MA.

Proceeds from the run benefit The Cam Neely Foundation which offers a home away from home for families of patients receiving treatment at the Tufts-New England Medical Center. It makes the uncomfortable and painful process a little easier when you can retreat to your own room set up as a studio apartment. There are wonderful common areas for dining, cooking and playrooms for youngsters that offer a great opportunity for people to meet others with similar treatments.

Motorcycle riding was a great part of Tom Martini's life and there could be no better way to celebrate his life than to host this event year after year!!
