    PPC Inc.’s has partnerships with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to provide Free Tax Preparation services for low to moderate income persons throughout Polk County, State of Florida and throughout the US. PPC Inc. has been providing these services since approximately seventeen (17) years since 2004. Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church’s Waverly VITA Site is the only “Year Round Tax Site” in the entire State of Florida that continues to provide tax preparation services from the filing deadline of April 15th to December of the tax year. Volunteers supports PPC and CCOW Inc. mission statement and bylaws of being a community based non-profit that promotes, volunteerism, self-help efforts, community education and development, financial literacy, preservation of community history, job training skills, resume writing, typing certifications, maintaining the organizations website. .

    About Us

    In 2020 and 2021 PPC and CCOW had to regroup and readjust to the new world of COVID-19. Despite these unprecedented circumstances our volunteers remained committed throughout the past almost year and a half. We continued to provide crucial and critical services that sustained individuals and/or families

    through this pandemic and continuing. The current services we provide will continue and our partnerships for services will expand to meet the needs of the most vulnerable in our community and county. Our volunteers have been training for years for jobs, employment or volunteer opportunities that further

    improve the lives of our friends, neighbors and associates. We will continue to train folks for jobs that are in demand such as tax preparation, e-filing, typing, etc. We train our volunteers with marketable skills that not only benefit them but the people we serve.
