We build audiences in order to build community around this music, because it’s important to the city’s historic identity, but also ever-changing and contemporary. CapitalBop.com is designed to help everyone from newcomers to jazz die-hards find live music that will fit their preferences.

    CapitalBop.com is your D.C. jazz portal, featuring a jazz calendar with editor's picks, a blog, and interactive maps of D.C.'s jazz neighborhoods. We also host the DC Jazz Loft and other shows in alternative venues throughout the year. Our education program fights to bring jazz education back to students in the D.C. school system.
