About Us

SAVING MONKEYS is a US Nonprofit (IRC) Section 501(c)(3) committed to Research, Reforestation, Rehabilitation, and Education by working with communities situated in delicate ecosystems to achieve a better future for both the wildlife and the people who live there.

Our organizational goals and projects include:

•        Reforesting land that has been used for timber, monoculture farming (soy, sugarcane) or cattle ranching

•        Running a Research Center focusing on management, sustainable agriculture, ecology, and conservation programs

•        Running a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for displaced, rescued and confiscated wild animals

•        Education programs with local communities, teaching awareness, impacts and alternative means of earning a living that better respect the wildlife and the inhabitants of the rainforests

Our primary base office is located in California. However, our operational activities occur internationally. Currently our volunteer activities occur in the rainforests of Ecuador.
