About Us

Fauquier FISH has operated in Fauquier County since 1983, becoming a 501(c)(3)nonprofit tax exempt charity in 2000. We are a non-profit food pantry focused on healthy, nutritious food. The organization is run entirely by a dedicated group of over 50 volunteers who embody FISH’s mission of ‘Neighbors helping neighbors with kindness and respect just as we would want to be treated in a time of need.’

To facilitate this mission, Fauquier FISH provides a range of services to county residents. Programs include a DASH (Delicious, Affordable, Simple, and Healthy) meals program for food pantry clients, an annual Book Bag & School Supply drive, Weekend Power Pack meals for public school children, Power of Produce (POP) farmer’s market vouchers, and senior meals delivered to the Warrenton Senior Center. Across all programs, Fauquier FISH serves nearly 3,500 individuals annually. Each program facilitates our vision of Fauquier County as a place where no one goes hungry and anyone in need has a place to turn.

Fauquier FISH also provides many volunteer opportunities for community members including, but not limited to, the Boy and Girl Scouts, adult day care programs, and field trips and service projects for school-aged children. These volunteer opportunities ensure the practice of community giving is continued.
