About Us

Hillel Mission

Orange County Hillel seeks to enrich the lives of Jewish undergraduate and graduate students at University of California, Irvine, Cal State University, Fullerton, Chapman University and Orange County Community Colleges so that they will enrich the lives of Jewish people and the world.

Hillel Vision

Hillel student leaders are dedicated to creating a pluralistic, welcoming and inclusive environment for Jewish college students, where they are encouraged and empowered to grow intellectually, spiritually and socially.

Hillel helps students find a balance in being distinctively Jewish and universally human by inspiring them to pursue tzedek (social justice), tikkun olam (repairing the world) and Jewish learning, and to support Israel and global Jewish peoplehood. Through sharing a meal, volunteerism, internships, making new friends, attending conferences, partnering with a wide array of student groups and networking, students learn how to incorporate Jewish traditions into their lives and begin to build a foundation for life.

Hillel Foundation of Orange County began in 1971 and is an independent tax-exempt organization with 501(c)3 status.
