National PKU News provides support and resources to patients and clinicians managing a diagnosis of Phenylketonuria (PKU), a rare genetic metabolic disoder. People with PKU cannot break down one of the amino acids in protein and require a very low-protein diet supplemented with a metabolic formula to maintain their health. PKU News provides a range of services including HowMuchPhe.org, an online diet-management system; CookForLove.org, a low-protein recipe community, and GoLowPro, a low-protein store and restaurant locator app.
