The Arc of Anchorage

  • Mission

To encourage and celebrate the potential of people who experience disabilities.

    About Us

Formed in 1957 by a group of parents with children who experienced disabilities in Anchorage, The Arc of Anchorage provides services and programs that now serve Alaskans of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities. From housing, to employment, teaching life skills, providing recreational opportunities and making sure quality health care, behavioral health, and specialized care is available 365 days a year, The Arc is dedicated to enriching and honoring individual choices in life. In 2017, after 60 years of service in Alaska, The Arc celebrates the accomplishments of self-advocates over six decades while looking toward our continuing work for an inclusive future.
