  • About Us

The Refuge Media Project is producing a video documentary on the care and treatment of immigrant survivors of political torture who are living in the United States. The film will be used as a tool to engage, educate, motivate and mobilize healthcare, mental health, and social service providers, students; community organizers; and groups serving immigrant communities. Other documentaries are in the planning stages. At the same time we are developing various web-based resources both for people working with torture survivors and for those interested in broader issues of torture and impunity. We are a fiscally-sponsored project of the Center for Independent Documentary: www.documentaries.org
