    Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Harriet Tubman Safe House, Inc. to provide temporary housing to ex-offenders and homeless individuals into a safe and positive living environment. With dignity, pride and self-esteem they will re-enter society as viable citizens, having the ability and tools to succeed in life.

    Vision

We envision state and nationwide programs in assisting those in need. We want to give formerly incarcerated, homeless men the resources and opportunities to better themselves. Our goal is to teach them to take personal responsibility for their families, for society, and more importantly, for themselves. We will provide a safe haven and a place of refuge to meet the needs of all our clients. We also strongly envision a program where the human rights of our clients and victims are honored, taxpayers concerns are respected, and the spiraling coasts of ineffective incarcerations are reduced. Putting a man in treatment will save $25,000 a year for each man instead of housing him in prison. It will reduce the recidivism rate by providing the needed tools for successful re-entry into society.
