    About Us

The Capital Area Humane Society is a non-profit organization that cares for over 10,000 animals annually. In 2016, we had a save rate of over 95%.

We are more than just an animal shelter. We offer traditional adoptions, as well as spay & neuter services for the public, obedience and behavioral programs, pet wellness programs, educational services for children including after-school programs and summer, winter, and spring camps, and a pet food bank.
