Growing Up Organization

Growing up Organization (GUO) is a non-governmental organization, non-profit and registered with the NGO Board in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Growing Up strives to offer guidance to young adults who are transitioning from childhood into adulthood with clear guidelines and answers to the questions that arise basing on the Word of God.

The formation of Growing Up was born out of a deep concern by a group of highly motivated youths to respond to the need for proper guidance to youths when transitioning from childhood to adulthood.

The idea came into play when we realised that a big percentage of young adults spend most of their early development life away from their parents (boarding schools), and hence lack proper guidance on how to engage the challenges that they face while transitioning to adulthood.

MISSION STATEMENT

Growing Up Organization exists to inform, equip, inspire, challenge and rehabilitate the youth by means of best practices in improving their spiritual and socioeconomic welfare thereby rekindling their confidence and their social, cultural and economic worth for growth and development and creating a generation of youth living to their full potential and positively impacting their communities and

the nation at large.

Commitments

• Informing the youths about their vital role at laying the foundation for the next generation.

• Equipping them with all the necessary information and resource so that they can understand and withstand the challenges they face while growing up.

• Inspiring them to live as role models to their young ones, keeping in mind that they will eventually be husbands, fathers, wives and mothers.

• Challenging them to be contributors to society and set an example based upon a biblical value system that will benefit this generation and lay a solid foundation for the next.

• Rehabilitating those who have been already negatively influenced.
