International Baccalaureate Program, Philadelphia HS for Girls

The legacy of the Philadelphia High School for Girls is one that for more than one hundred and sixty years young women throughout the city of Philadelphia have continued to uphold. Each student who has entered the doors of the school has ensured that through her diligence to reach academic success she was prepared to attend colleges and universities across the country sharing the lessons learned with her peers. The rigorous course work, the continual staff support, and the school spirit and traditions assist in the preparation for each of our young women. 

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a rigorous pre-university course of studies leading to examinations that meets the needs of highly motivated secondary school students between the ages of 16 and 19 years. Designed as a comprehensive two-year curriculum that allows its graduates to fulfill requirements of various national education systems, the Diploma model is based on the pattern of no single country but incorporates the best elements of many. The Philadelphia High School for Girls is actively involved in pursuing this opportunity for a select group of students who wish to achieve on a level far beyond the norm.
