Orchid Project

Orchid Project has a vision of a world free from female genital cutting (FGC).

Orchid Project works in three ways to fulfil our mission of supporting accelerated abandonment of FGC around the world. We:

- Shape the dialogue and advocate for prioritisation and resources the end FGC

- Communicate the scale and impact of FGC and how it is ending

- Support the efforts of organisations working towards abandonment in practising countries.

Orchid Project was founded in London, UK in 2011. We are beginning work in the US, based in NYC, from September 2014, seeking to build on our achivements in the UK and internationally. In the US, our mission is to raise awareness of FGC in order to leverage increased funding into the sector, to accelerate abandonment globally.
