Thompson Crisis Centre

In the 1980s,Women's shelter across Manitoba began to work together to provide support, training and information for improved services of clients. The Organization incorporated in August 11,1977 as Thompson Crisis Centre.

Thompson Crisis Centre is a non-profit organization and for more than 46 years with over 32 beds we have been providing support and strength to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, psychological abuse, and physical abuse. last year we had over 5000 Emergency nights and interim bed nights provided for over 290 women and 110 Children and more than 2500 Crisis Calls attended.

Our organization operates a 24-hour crisis line that is staffed by trained counsellors who can provide immediate assistance and support to survivors in crisis. We also provide safe and confidential shelter to Men, women and children who are in immediate danger of domestic violence. Our shelter services include daily essentials  such as food, clothing, and personal hygiene items, as well as counseling, safety planning, and advocacy.
