About Us

An education and retreat center located in the foothills of Vermont's Green Mountains dedicated to helping people live more meaningful lives using holistic and natural methods which originated in Japan: Morita Therapy, Naikan, and Meaningful Life Therapy. The ToDo Institute creates personal, family and community change through: the skilful use of attention, the cultivation of gratitude, the awareness of interdependence, the ability to put oneself in another's shoes, and purposeful action in the face of obstacles. Our work is a blend of East and West--a mix of the psychological, the practical and the spiritual. Our programs cover topics such as Working with Your Attention, Self-Reflection, Working with Challenging Children, Simplifying Your Life, Living Fully with Illness, and Getting Things Done. We conduct residential programs at our 12-acre retreat center in Vermont as well as locations around the world.
