About Us

Opening its doors in 1993, the mission of Belle Reve New Orleans is to provide permanent and transitional housing along with full support services to adults and families living with AIDS or HIV related infections. Concern for quality of life and equal availability of services are the founding principles of the agency. Therefore, service delivery will not be influenced by race, gender, religion, age, or sexual orientation.

Under the Executive Directorship of Vicki Weeks, Belle Reve’s staff has years of experience in advocacy, AIDS activism, direct service/personal care, social services, fundraising, nonprofit management, and more.

Our diverse staff includes licensed clinical social workers, administrators, fundraisers, and direct care providers.

Our board members represent a wide range of talent, interests, and ties to the HIV/AIDS field, including professors, funeral directors, epidemiologists, law professionals, and community activists.

Belle Reve is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)3 status, and, as such, receives funding from federal, nonprofit, corporate, foundation, programmatic, individual, and fundraising sources. Belle Reve is grateful to all of its community sponsors, including many local businesses and nonprofits.
