EDFC’s mission is simple:

Connecting money and ideas with entrepreneurs and creating sustainable prosperity in Lake & Mendocino Counties.

Economic Development and Financing Corporation (EDFC), is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a twofold mission: to work collaboratively with the jurisdictions and stakeholders in Mendocino County to enhance economic development, and to offer business loans to business start-ups and existing small businesses in Mendocino and Lake Counties.

EDFC provides a critical link between the public and private sectors. We offer an array of professional services to support economic development activities. We also serve as the County of Mendocino’s Broadband Coordinator, working with providers, funders, jurisdictions and communities to address the digital divide in our rural communities.

EDFC’s loan programs provide funding for businesses that are unable to borrow from conventional lenders. We fill a critical gap with responsible lending utilizing a range of federal and local business loan and grant funds.
