About Us
ShadowLight Productions is one of very few professional shadow theatre companies in the world. We were founded in 1972 by theatre artist, filmmaker and shadow master, Larry Reed, who created an original shadow casting method that integrates the power and mystery of shadows, the scale of film, and the immediacy of live performance.
We strive to help preserve indigenous shadow theater traditions and to explore and expand the possibilities of the shadow theatre medium by creating innovative interdisciplinary, multicultural works.
