The mission of the Denver Asset Building Coalition (DABC) is to provide free tax preparation, financial education, and financial services through accessible sites in Denver to help low-income and underserved people become economically self-sufficient.
Founded in 2004, DABC has helped over 50,000 low‐income taxpayers through our free tax
preparation program, bringing in more than $50 million in refunds to our community and saving
people millions of dollars they would have otherwise spent at less‐than‐reputable tax preparers.
Volunteers are the backbone of DABC and are retired and current professionals within the tax industry, accounting and tax students from area colleges, graduate student interns, and much more. Previous accounting experience is NOT required!
What does it take to volunteer? A passion for helping your community and making a difference in the lives of so many. You will receive free training from DABC staff and learn how to provide free tax help for low-to-moderate income families who need assistance preparing their tax returns.
