  • About Us

Mission Statement: ICEC is committed to providing education and training which will lead to expanded job opportunities for youth in the fields of culinary and hospitality arts, with an emphasis on sustainability and increased public awareness of the island's resources, culinary potential and ecological diversity.

As a lobster fishing community, with great seafood resources, we are trying to build on those resources by teaching harvesting, foraging and cooking skills using local products to kids in school and after school, working on changes to the school lunch program, consciousness raising about use of local resources, special events, cooking demonstrations, etc.
