About Us
Yorktown Central School District is a public school district that services the communities of Yorktown, New Castle and Cortlandt in Westchester County, New York. The district consists of three elementary schools, one middle school and a high school.
The Yorktown community is consistently supportive of educational excellence; a positive interaction exists between the schools and community. The District is committed to helping each child develop into a mature, contributing member of society; the curriculum is immersed in the NYS Core Standards with attention to 21st century skills. Yorktown schools are devoted to and focused on the education of the whole child. The staff is committed to helping every student reach his/her fullest potential.
