Houston Museum of African American Culture

HMAAC is truly a museum for all people. While our focus is on the contemporary African American experience of the last 50 years, HMAAC is leading into being a multicultural presence. HMAAC illustrates stories through different art mediums which inform people from all backgrounds, races, and religions. As a result, the programming and exhibitions HMAAC is bringing to Texas have created unique experiences, which continue to impact our visitors well after leaving its doors.
