About Us
Ride For Life was created by patients afflicted with ALS(Lou Gehrig's disease).The ride consists of patients in their motorized wheelchairs, accompanied by supporters, going from Montauk Point, Long Island to New York City. The ride lasts 10 days and covers 175 miles. This year, the ride will start at Montauk Point on April 26th. On May 5th it will cross the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan where an ecuminical memorial and healing service will take place. The purpose of the ride is to generate public awareness regarding ALS and to raise money for research to find a cure for this fatal disease
