Montview is known across the Denver community for its progressive theology, traditional worship, outstanding music, open and welcoming presence, and commitment to social justice. It seeks to be faithful to God, following the way of Jesus, opening itself to the Spirit of God today. Montview seeks to be a light to the Denver community in its life and ministry. Montview is a thriving congregation that has resided at the corner of Dahlia Street and Montview Boulevard in Denver, Colorado, since 1892. The current 1,000 seat modified Gothic sanctuary was completed in 1958 and the facility continues to be renovated and restored. Today, Montview is an active and vibrant community of 1,400 members with an annual operating budget of $1.9 million. Currently, the church has two Co-Pastors and is governed by a thirteen‐member board (Session) comprised of lay members of the church elected by the congregation for a three‐year term. Several committees, comprised of lay members of the church, engage in ministries with the pastors and church staff. The church is host to numerous community organizations and groups throughout the week and is home to a preschool.
