About Us

The Master of Professional Studies Degree (MPS) and the Advanced Professional Certificate (APC) are designed for students interested in furthering their education in the journalism or public relations/corporate communications fields. Students seeking to earn the MPS must successfully complete 30 credits: a 3-credit core course; a 3-credit capstone course; and eight 3-credit courses in the chosen concentration. For professionals already in the field, we also offer the APC. To earn the APC, students must complete 15 credits (5 courses) chosen from one of the two concentrations. All of our courses are designed to help you build a professional portfolio. Our goal is to bring the complexities and issues from both industries into our classroom.
