Hospice provides compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care.
At Heartland Hospice, we work to enhance a patient's quality of life, preserve their dignity, and support both patient and family/caregivers during a deeply personal time. Our Interdisciplinary Hospice Care Team provides physical, social, spiritual, and emotional care for both the patient and family/caregivers during the last stages of the patient's illness, through the dying process, and continues through the bereavement period for the family/caregivers.
Our Volunteers are essential members of our Interdisciplinary Hospice Care Team.
Some of the Volunteer's Responsibilities can include:
Volunteers work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to find and monitor the tasks that best suit the Volunteer's skills and abilities, and meets the patient's and family/caregiver's needs.
