About Us
The Steps Coalition is composed of 53 nonprofits, churches and civic groups who are collectively promoting an equitable recovery from Hurricane Katrina and healthy, just and sustainable communities in South Mississippi. The Steps Coalition believes that creating livable communities hinges upon a commitment to five essential values: Affordable Housing & Cultural Preservation, Economic Justice, Environmental Justice and Human Rights.
