    The Utility Contractors’ Association of New England, Inc. advocates for strong investment in water and sewer infrastructure, supports fair and competitive bidding, and works to streamline access to funding through the State Revolving Loan Fund (SRF).

    We collaborate with government agencies and local communities to promote clean water, environmental protection, and responsible construction practices. Our members are recognized for their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to getting the job done right.

    About Us

    Established in 1954, the Utility Contractors' Association of New England, Inc. (UCANE) is comprised of over 250 major contractors and associated businessmen and women who perform underground utility construction projects (water, sewer, electrical, gas, fiber optics, etc.) primarily in Massachusetts and throughout New England. Our membership is made up of both union and non-union companies ranging in size from small family-owned businesses to large corporations, as well as MBE, WBE and DBE firms.
