The Junior League of Phoenix
The Junior League of Phoenix (JLP) consists of highly motivated, educated, influential women who transform the Metro Phoenix community through advocacy, direct service, public education and fundraising to educate the public on the critically urgent unmet needs in Maricopa County. The current membership of the JLP consists of more than 1,000 women who contribute more than 100,000 hours annually of volunteer service to the Greater Phoenix community. Since 1935 we have donated more than $3.3 million to various programs and have been involved in 140 community projects.
Each year we raise money for community programs that make a difference in the lives of children and families through fundraisers such as the Valley Impact Luncheon, the Rummage Sale (now in its 77th year) and our newest event, Touch-A-Truck.
The current programs that we support include:
- Kids In The Kitchen
- ROCKETS – Raising Our Children’s Knowledge By Educating Through Science
- Desert Mission SnackPak Backpack
- Phoenix Rescue Mission, Changing Lives Center for Women and Children
- Monthly Community Service Projects and Partnerships
The Junior League of Phoenix is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
