  • Mission

The mission of the Literacy Council of Norristown is to improve lives and strengthen families in Greater Norristown and Montgomery County by providing adult literacy and English language programs.

    About Us

The Literacy Council of Norristown was founded in 1984 by a group of dedicated Montgomery County citizens to provide tutoring to students who wanted to earn their high school equivalency or improve their reading and math skills.

Since then LCN has grown to meet the increasing need for our programs and services. Today we continue to equip students with the reading, writing, math and English language skills they need to access better employment opportunities, access better education and training opportunities, and better participate in the Montgomery County community.
