Song and Beat is a multi-cultural, interactive, music and movement program for children of all ages. We are dedicated to promoting the art of African and Caribbean dance and music. With Song & Beat, children and their families "travel" to a new country and explore its unique culture through its rhythm, song, dance, folklore, and language, play authentic instruments from around the world, dance the Samba, Rumba, Funga, Bomba, sing in different languages, and hear folklore from many countries and cultures. Song and Beat is coordinated and taught by experienced and qualified professionals in the fields of music, dance, and education. Our high-energy program is accompanied by live musicians and tailored to meet the audience. Our program ranges from "mommy and me" classes to individual drum instruction to song-writing, and concert-style performances. Song and Beat is a fun, engaging, and educational way to release the music within every child.
