Abele - a service connected disabled Vietnam veteran attended the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans conference in Washington, D.C. May 28-30, 2014. Les had the honor of sitting beside representives from a corporate sponsor of the convention {Home Depot Foundation-Atlanta} while listening to speach by U.S.Department of Veteran Affairs - Secretary Eric Shinseki on Friday - May 30th. Later that day, Sec. Shinseki was called into the White House and resigned his position.Lester Abele is Statutory Agent / Office Manager / Secretary-Treasurer / Co-Founder / and Board of Director Member of VETERANS FIRST - An Ohio based 501.c.3 non-profit veterans assistance agency founded in December 2005.
