About Us

The Dominico-American Society of Queens, Inc. (DAS) is a nonprofit organization created in 1993 in response to the educational, social and cultural challenges that impede the development of the Hispanic community in the United States. Our mission is to improve the community's self-image in order to help our population reach its highest goals and aspirations.

Since its inception, DAS has offered a number of important services to the growing ethnic community in Northern Queens. We have become a resource center for the many residents seeking a variety of educational services, including: English as a Second Language (ESL), Computer Training classes, U.S. Naturalization Citizenship programs, After-School programs and many more. Throughout the years, DAS has been of service to thousands of residents all of whom have walked through our doors in search of guidance and assistance. While our programs were originally limited to residents from the Borough of Queens; the growing demand has compelled us to extend our services to all five boroughs, Long Island and Northern New Jersey.
