Guide Dogs for the Blind - Irvine Puppy Raisers

We are volunteer puppy raisers who's goal is to assist the disabled by raising puppies who we hope will become guide dogs.

We are volunteer puppy raisers for Guide Dogs for the Blind out of San Rafael California. We receive the puppies when they are 8- 12 weeks old to teach them house manners, basic obedience commands and socialize them to all things they might encounter as working guide dogs.

There are also opportunities to help raiser an older puppy or puppy sit pups being raised in our Club. This is an excellent volunteer opportunity for individuals that work part time or from home, are retired or students with their parent’s involvement.
