PROJECT GRAD AKRON

  • Mission

Mission: In collaboration with community partners, Project GRAD Akron’s mission is to provide a system of programs, supports, and scholarships for underrepresented students to achieve success from kindergarten through career.

    About Us

Since 2002, Project GRAD Akron has provided services to support students in the Akron Public Schools and the areas included literacy, math, social services, college access, college awareness and readiness, and scholarship. The current schools served are Buchtel (grades 7 through 12), Crouse, Helen Arnold, and Schumacher (grades K - 6). Project GRAD Akron has continued to serve students and their families who are predominately African American, many of whom are with low to moderate income levels that are traditionally underrepresented in higher education, and are often the first in the family to attend college.
