Advocates For Aging Cares, Inc. is organized to improve the safety and independence of older adults by providing: sustainable programs in health management, transportation, opportunities for social, and community engagement.

We're social entrepreneurs and working to change the face of aging by taking action to innovate, improve, and invent solutions to fill the gaps in services for our aging community.

Founded in 2012, as a volunteer effort the first service we provided was We Get Around! The City of San Diego's first public travel training program. Thanks to the founder Judi Bonilla, her friends, and family we were able to offer training classes at no charge. The goal was to bootstrap the program until a transportation grant could be earned.

During the past three years, Judi volunteered her gerontology and travel training expertise to the program. Volunteers helped with errands and moral support. In that time both We Get Around! and Judi earned local and national awards. At the end of 2014 as momentum for the program peaked We Get Around! went from a volunteer effort to an IRS approved 501c3 non profit organization as Advocates For Aging Cares.
