About Us
CityBloc is a newly-formed, unique, citywide, non-profit, non-electoral group uniquely dedicated to marrying technology with grassroots organizing efforts in Chicago communities. The first of its kind, the group aims to be a vehicle for social change by more effectively building connections, knowledge and action between people and neighborhoods. With the resulting amplified voices and increased action, we hope to: build greater community accountability from Chicago’s public officials, policy makers and the media; counter information from mainstream media to re-frame city government discussions and policies; and realize increase voter registration and participation.
